A tablet is worth it for this alone I can't praise the developers enough for bringing the infinity engine to Android. Given that the market is predominantly saturated with people that are happy with standard f2p fare it seems unfathomable that such a venture is worth it but I find the mechanics and gameplay superior to nearly everything available right now. Imagine being in awe that a game can offer so much satisfaction rather than surprise that it offers any at all. Beam dog should truly be celebrated for preserving games so absorbing and bringing them to the palm of our hands. Full Review

Baldur's gate is an amazing RPG and the android version is flawless! I really want to see BG 2 made for tablets as the title states, if you call yourself an RPG fan then this game is a must have! I currently game on a 13.3 inch Hannspad running android 4.2.2 and I haven't encountered any gameplay issues. Oh yeah, if you get this game and think you're going to play it on a phone...forget it! This game was not made for phones, plain and simple. You need a 8 inch or larger screen. Full Review

Amazing This game was created in 1999 and when I first played it, I was like OMG this game is awesome. My dad received a trial of the first two chapters. After we played the first two chapters we needed more and got the game in its entirety. Then after we completely mastered the game we were depressed that it was all done. Then they came out with the sword coast. That didn't give much extra but still fantastic. The rest is history. However this game is the #1 rpg adventure ever created on a pc. This game is great. Pretty much as good as it gets on Android This is one of my favorite pc games, a perennial reinstall that I'm excited to now have in full enhanced edition glory on my phone. It's probably more ideal on tablets, but the new touch screen-friendly zoom function makes it totally playable on smaller devices. With 100 or so hours of classic yet updated gameplay, this is well worth the price tag. Also, protip: you can move your saves back and forth between the PC version and this one. Handy if you want to play on the go and at home. Full Review

Tablet issues Love the game, but it does not work with the onscreen keyboard of my galaxy galaxy s tab. Makes it impossible to pregen characters (cant save the file) nor can i write in the journal or do a custom background. Otherwise great game, would love to see these issue resolved. Full Review

No problems yet on my nvidia Shield tablet. The screen is a little small, but it works perfectly using the stylus and does have a decent amount of zoom for fine control tuning. It's great being able to play a classic like this on the plane or while traveling, I don't have to bring a personal laptop or risk installing on my work one. I haven't tried the multiplayer, but I don't think it would be optimized for long sessions due to the screen size. Nice option to have it though. Full Review

Awesome but actual size is like 2.6 gigs This game came out the year I was born I grew up playing it. Its absolutely awesome, runs buetifuly. There is one problem the game is 2.28 gigs but some required files aren't included in that number, i had to clear 2.64 gigs before i could actually download it. Aside from that its absolutely astounding Full Review

BG has a standard of quality that BeamDog can't quite reach, and I'm not talking bugs. Don't buy the in-app purchase NPCs at least at first, as they're not written or constructed quite as well as the rest. Considering that an expansion is in the works this worries me. Still, it's the only way to have BG portable and the porting is well done. That's worth something. Full Review

This game is totally worth its cost. The game brings back old memories of the old school (and proper) rpgs. For those that have issues with a weird black screen with text, just get a different version APK, like Mali. The only issue I have is the new Orc meshes. The original one was much much much cooler and better. Nevertheless thank you for such a good game XD Full Review

I played bg when it was first released and it remains a highly playable grand rpg which I keep installed on PC to this day. Whilst the additional work on the enhanced version is all fine it does neither add or subtract from the original. Still this runs faultlessly on my nexus 7 and was worth the wait. The controls have been smartly reworked for touch screen and though it takes a bit of zoom juggling at times, that is expected. Entering some doors can be a problem which could do with an expanded click zone Full Review

This game is great when its not crashing I was able to play for a couple hours before it started to constantly crash. The game itself is awesome. Now it won't even open the app. I tried reinstalling, it had no effect aside from erasing my game. Lol... If I could play it, it would be a 5* rating. I'm playing on a LG G pad 8.0. Full Review

The game is as brilliant as it has always been and the Android port seems to work fine. Original disks are not required, it just runs. There are two problems: 1. The controls are not very effective on a phone. Even a Samsung Galaxy S4 has a too small screen to work pleasantly. 2. The game doesn't seem to have an option to move the game data to an SD card. As this is over 2 GB of data it is quite a lot to have in the device itself. Full Review

YOU MUST BUY THIS AND BG2!!! It's perfect on tablets! You would think they made these games for tablet instead of pc! It works absolutely perfect on my Samsung Nexus 10. Seriously, you shouldn't even need to read this review if you are considering buying this! Just get it! If your a new comer just force yourself through the first 4-5 hours of gameplay then you hooked! This game has HUNDREDS OF HOURS of gameplay content!!! When you get it make sure your connected to the internet when you first start the game up because it needs to verify your copy isn't a pirated version. After that your golden. You can play anytime anywhere! No internet needed after that. Seriously they perfect for anyone who likes RPGs, good storylines, reading(which involves you more with dialogue choices and creates better immersion!), and a game that will have tons of gameplay time! TONS! Just buy and enjoy....... Full Review

The size of the download is a large compared to other Android games but the size of the adventure justifies it. Beamdog has failed to keep the android version up to date when compared to the Windows and other versions. This less than perfect level of suport meas I can no longer give this otherwise good game a perfect 5 stars. Definately deserving of all the praise it has recieved but falls just short of a perfect score. Full Review

This is one of the best rpgs. It's a straight up classic of epic adventure, story, and character building. I cannot recommend this game and it's sequel enough. As an aside, it's not good or ( I feel ) meant for a phone. This is definitely a tablet game - it's because the ui is obviously meant for a commuter. So, the smaller the device, the more difficult it'll be to do anything. It has nothing to do with the game itself, if was simply made for a larger screen. It is an ode to the most classic RPGs, though it may seem complicated, it eases you into the epic adventure. I can never recommend this game enough. Full Review

Awesome game. I am new to this genre but this game looks and plays great. Ideal on my 8" Kindle Fire HD, but is also fine on my 5.2" moto g5 plus. Got this on sale and don't regret it. Don't be afraid to get this for your phone. I can see that this is something you can play for a very long time and not get bored. Update: Takes a long time to get to just the 2nd level for your character. Still not there yet after several hours of playing.. . Still love it, but worried may be hard to progress through game if character can't grow enough. Full Review

First of i played this on the computer and its a great game from the 1990's So i got the game and noticed it didnt have some of the features as the actual game so i just said ok, its a phone game.... but then i relazed that for 3 dollars in app purchases you can buy more of the actual game for another 3 to 6 dollars you can buy the enhanced edditions mission and charactors for 2 dollars you can get more of the voices that already come in the original game but need to get extra on the phone. I would of rated it 5 stars if not for that. Its a great game to play and i'd definitely recomend it to others Full Review

It works well on my 5.7inch Samsung Note 5. I've heard complaints that this app is not suitable for phones but I do not face such issues. Yes, the screen is indeed small but it is not to the point whereby the game is completely unplayable. I've never played the original BG on PC before but I'm already hooked now. Doesn't suck my phone battery badly as well. Would recommend. Only issue is how dark the setting is. I could barely see anything when its nighttime ingame. Full Review

Playing on galaxy S5, the game runs great and looks nice. You have to increase the font size in order to read, but other than that is very playable on my phone. Obviously it's better on a tablet of course. Great game, this is the real deal. Recommend highly. People below saying it's unplayable, not true. I play it on galaxy S5 and no problems at all, you have to use a stylus in order to play it though. Also some people have their phones rooted or with other junk and it causes problems with any game. Again I use an S5 with a stylus non rooted phone and it runs great. Full Review

Its a great game, but.. I love the game, but there are times when i dont even get certain quest items like the key for flooding cloakwood mines. I checked everywhere on the map just in case i dropped it, but nothing. So i have to go back to my previous save which is basically restarting the clear i did in the mines. Its so frustrating. As well as quests that need u to get an item for an NPC. There should be something that indicates that an item is a quest item so that you dont get mixed up and accidentally sell the item.
